Business Expo Sept 2024

The Bosco Integrated Development Society E-Hub Department hosted the Business Expo on the 3.09.2024 at State central Library Shillong to Pave a way to the young entrepreneurs trained from different centres of the Don Bosco technical schools in Meghalaya and other states as well. BIDS E-hub aims of giving young entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their skills and creativity and turning their dreams into reality and providing them with the knowledge, connections, and opportunities needed to accelerate their ventures. In today’s dynamic business landscape, innovation, adaptability, and strategic networking are crucial for success. This expo serves as a bridge between aspiring entrepreneurs and industry leaders, investors, and potential collaborators. 


Training of Trainers

The training of trainers (ToT) is needed in institutions to intensify the quality of education and skill development. It ensures that trainers obtain advanced teaching techniques, ameliorating their ability to communicate and engage with the student effectively. Keeping a standard training mechanism in the institutions can maintain a consistency in delivering knowledge, and align with the organisation objectives. Moreover, ToT improve trainers core competency by updating them with the latest methodologies, technologies and insights on recent trends igniting around in the society. This enables trainers to cater to diverse learning needs and adapt their methods for maximum impact.



Industrial Event 2025

A classroom industrial event is essential as it bridges the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications. Students will know about various activities about the companies before they choose to enrol themselves as an employee. In this program we also invited some incubation hub who can mentor our young entrepreneurs starting their business from the scratch. Many schemes and financial aids are being highlighted in this program and the students can select the a most appropriate schemes or financial aids which ever relevant to their future business. 


Workshops/Seminars and Conferences

Workshops are typically hands-on sessions focused on specific topics or skills. They provide practical training through interactive activities, group exercises, and real-world problem-solving scenarios. Workshops are often smaller in size, allowing for personalized attention and direct interaction between instructors and participants.

Industrial Exposure Event

An industrial exposure event is a specialized program designed to provide students or professionals with firsthand experience and insights into the workings of a particular industry. These events often include site visits to factories, research facilities, or corporate offices, where participants can observe day-to-day operations, interact with industry experts, and gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of their field of study.


Industrial exposure events are typically organized by educational institutions, professional associations, or companies themselves to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world practices. Participants benefit from seeing the latest technologies and processes in action, understanding industry standards, and learning about current trends and challenges.

Internship Program

An internship is a structured, temporary work experience offered by organizations to students or recent graduates, providing them with practical exposure to their field of study or interest. Internships allow individuals to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting, develop professional skills, and gain valuable industry insights. These programs can be paid or unpaid and typically last for a set period, ranging from a few weeks to several months.


Interns work under the guidance of experienced professionals, receiving mentorship and feedback that enhance their learning and career development. Internships also offer networking opportunities, enabling participants to build professional connections that can be beneficial for future job prospects.

Career/Job Fair Events

Career or job fair events are organized gatherings where multiple employers and job seekers come together in a single venue to discuss employment opportunities. These events are often hosted by educational institutions, professional associations, or community organizations and serve as a platform for employers to showcase their companies and job openings.


Job seekers can explore a variety of career options, network with industry professionals, and learn about different organizations and their hiring processes. Career fairs typically include company booths, where representatives provide information about their businesses and conduct on-the-spot interviews.

Campus Interview/Recruitment Events

Campus interview and recruitment events are organized by educational institutions to connect students with potential employers, providing a streamlined pathway for graduates to secure employment. During these events, companies visit campuses to conduct interviews, presentations, and networking sessions, giving students the opportunity to learn about various organizations, their cultures, and job openings.


These events typically involve pre-scheduled interviews, allowing students to present their skills and qualifications directly to recruiters. They may also include workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, and career advice to enhance students' employability.

Placement Awareness and Orientation programs

Placement Awareness and Orientation Programs are designed to equip students and job seekers with the knowledge and skills needed to transition smoothly from academic environments to professional careers. These programs provide an overview of various career opportunities, industries, and job roles that align with participants' educational backgrounds and interests. They offer guidance on creating compelling resumes and cover letters that effectively highlight skills, experiences, and achievements.


Additionally, the programs include interview preparation through mock interviews and workshops, helping participants build confidence and improve their performance.

Entrepreneurship Development Program

Entrepreneurship Development Program is designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to start, manage, and grow successful businesses. This comprehensive training covers various critical aspects of entrepreneurship, including business idea generation, market validation, and the creation of detailed business plans. Participants learn about effective marketing and sales strategies, financial management, and the legal and regulatory requirements involved in running a business. The training also focuses on operational efficiency, leadership, and team management, along with leveraging technology and innovation for business growth.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme

Entrepreneurship awareness refers to the understanding and recognition of the opportunities, challenges, and processes associated with starting and running a business. It involves educating individuals about the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, including the qualities of successful entrepreneurs, the various types of businesses, and the key steps involved in launching and managing a startup.


Programs designed to enhance entrepreneurship awareness typically include workshops, seminars, and informational sessions that cover topics such as idea generation, market research, business planning, and financial management.
